Wish: MP3TAG for film files

First -Thanks for the the MP3TAG app, its soo good and in a class of its own - CUDOS to Florian!

Having law and order on my music libraries due to MP3TAG raises a long not outspoken need for the same based on film files. I know its VERY diferent but actually it is files with meta data tags and standards. I admit, I am a collector, saving tons of film-files from different sources like mobiles, cameras, converted small films, shared filmes etc ends up with a need, similar to the one I had long time ago for MP3 files.
Is it only me having this need?
Would it be possible for a FILMTAG version on MP3TAG?

You can already use Mp3tag for tagging MP4, MKV and some others.

In which format would you find these video files? Is that a format that supports metadata at all?

Thanks, what a Christmasgift! This is was something I did not even check since I (obviously wrong) did not believe it was possible. Soo cool.
