All of these options will be in a UI which will be a new feature I proposed to @Florian in the forum and he has implemented them. I have been sent an insider build with this to test and add this functionality to the scripts. So users will probably never need to edit code anymore. All this is done in a .SETTINGS JSON file which drives a UI.

It don't work for me with 3.21 version, but I deleted them and installed 3.21f and it works ! :wink:

Welcome @kevin_nok. The version info is in the starting post if you're unsure.

Next big update of the scripts will require another update of mp3tag.

Can you tell me what I need to edit to get commas between artists again?

In the outputto "ARTIST" section change the next ampersand to a comma.

As much as I love this, it still gets things wrong now and again... try searching for the following release

You really should have tried searching beatport for it first. My scripts can't find something that's not there in their search results. So raise an issue with them.

Hmm, "search by direct" works correctly for me with the script, but searching by release does not, and also searching by release on beatport.com also fails, so the script wouldn't have anything to process. NB. some searches on Beatport are region specific, so it's possible that is a factor for this release.

I also see that it is a new release, and I have found Beatport's search results to be a bit flaky for brand new releases. That release only shows up on the artist page, it does not show up in the releases by artist page. (yet)

Because that's a DIRECT url. Of course it can find it and parse the info found on that page using the DIRECT scripts.

The search in the scripts use the URLs I posted above and your release is nowhere to be found. Did you click on them to see?

No, unfortunately searching by direct doesn't work for me. Maybe it's a geolocation thing as bistkream alluded.

I've asked for it to be able to search within a label, which would make things a lot quicker and easier but I also understand this may not be possible or easy.

You can search for labels but not releases specific to a label. If you find a way then I might add it.

If you can access the URL in your browser the scripts should work.

There's no such thing as searching direct. The direct scripts don't search, they use the release or track page and scrape the info from them.

Click the links. All will become clear as to why my scripts can't get anything in the search results dialog.

OK... was runing 6.0..0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.2 not the latest. I just updated. My bad

That's built into mp3tag. I cannot change what you've circled. The text below is what I've added.

There seems to be a bit of slightly too aggressive cleaning of artist/track/release data going on in the scripts. e.g. "Ben Weber" becomes "Ben er" for the search parameters.

Will fix in next release. I think the regex should be \bep\b instead of ep

It would be great if we could update the old 500x500 artwork to the new 1400x1400 if release has it via direct url on some automatic way (multiple files, different releases). Would that be possible in the future? If not, what is recommended for the fastest artwork update?

EDIT: I gave up. Many old photos are 1400, but 500 quality. I can't search for old releases with real 1400...

Whatevers on BP is what's there. Nothing I can do about it I'm afraid. But if you find a release with 1400 px ² and my scripts only get the 500 then please post example urls.
