[X] Genre tag from iTunes not updating

If I change a genre in iTunes and drag the mp3 to mp3tag it has the wrong string.

However, if I tag in mp3tag, save the file, the tag then updates in iTunes as it should.

The mappings are the same so I assume this is a bug?

Or itunes writes the modification only to its database, but leaves the file as it its. (Because how should MP3tag know what is stored in a file other than the actual tag information? There would have to be a second genre tag or something to store the old and the new information)
Could you check the modification data of such a file?

Found out what happened!

I accidentally forgot to remove writing APEv2 to the tags after helping a member on the forum with something which is a quite a while ago.

Screenshot of my settings if anyone come across the same problem. This was the last thing I thought of.

iTunes does write to the tags.

Steps to resolve same issue.
Drag mp3s to mp3tag.
Use settings in screenshot above.
Remove tags. CTRL+R
Save. CTRL+S
Tags reappear as in iTunes

Hello . I Just Found A Bug In MP3 Tag 2.72. That Is When You Try To ( Remove Tags ) From An iTunes Song That MP3 Tag Can NOT Remove All Tags! You Can Easily See What I'm Saying In This Details About An iTunes Song AFTER Removing Its Tags Via MP3 Tag 2.72.

The Lines Are Bold & Red Must Be Removed From Details But MP3 Tag 2.72 Or Other Previous Versions Can NOT Remove Them . Please Fix This Bug In MP3 Tag 2.73.
