[X] Last char in track title truncated

I've recently bought a new car with an MP3 compatibe cd player (Opel with CD30 MP3 player).

If I use an old cd with mp3 files edited using an old version of MP3Tag (2.32b or older, anyway a non Unicode version) the title of the tracks is displayed correctly, but if I use a new CD with files edited with one of the latest releases of MP3Tag (2.33 or 2.33a) the last character of the title is truncated.

I've tried the following:

1. edit track title directly in the list
2. update the tags from amg or freedb web sources
3. remove the tags from files and update tags from filename or from freedb

The result is always the same, for example the title Giant is displayed as Gian on the cd player.
The filename and the title field don't contain strange characters.

Any idea?

Can you please try to enable Always write ISO-8859-1 instead of UTF-16 at Options > Tags > Mpeg.

Maybe your player has some problems with Unicode.

Yes, it is. With this option enabled the player reads the title correctly.

I have the same issue on my usb player and here is a short thread on HA.org where other people also complain.
It's really a bug or limitation of the player firmware.
