[X] Unable to write Japanese tags

I have just updated to the newest version (2.73) and Japanese tags no longer work. If they are written by another program (such as the latest NERO Burning ROM), MP3TAG can read and display them correctly - but as soon as I ask MP3TAG to write Japanese tags, they become unreadable (even MP3TAG displays question marks). Options -> Tags -> Mpeg -> ID3v2.3 ISO-8859-1 is selected. I am enclosing a short mp3 file with Japanese tags. Re-writing this file with MP3TAG causes the tags containing Japanese to become unreadable.

36______.mp3 (6.84 KB)

Try using ID3v2.3 UTF-16 instead of ID3v2.3 ISO-8859-1.

just to add some more information: user jfukuro could add a column that show the encoding
value: %_id3v2_character_encoding%
and see what the tags were before tagging with MP3tag and afterwards.
