64-bit version in Windows Store

Just noticed availability of the 64-bit version and seen this No 64-bit version in the Microsoft Store about the Windows Store version.

Any idea when we will see the move to 64-bit on the store and will this just be a "normal" update that migrates it to the 64-bit version?

I've just released Mp3tag v3.22 to the Microsoft Store, which is now the 64-bit version of Mp3tag.

Just updated and it is not starting, whether from explorer or directly. Comes up with an error

Have uninstalled and reinstalled a few times and still the same each time. Also done a reset and repair on the app and still the same :frowning:

Is there any files/registry entries that need to be cleared out?

Also just now uninstalled the store-based app and tried to install the non-store version. It opens but does not add the context menus to explorer (Windows 11 22H2) :frowning:

--- correction, needed to kill and restart Windows File Explorer for it to pick this up correctly.

Hi, just tried on a second PC - still Windows 11 Pro 22H2 - and same happens. This time I uninstalled store version first, then installed store version - comes up with error. Uninstalled store version, then installed "normal" version, killed explorer and then all (including context menu) working fine.

Something going wrong on the store app installation.

Many thanks for trying the updated version and reporting the issue so quickly! I think I've identified the problem — an updated and hopefully fixed version v3.22.1.0 is currently in certification by Microsoft.

I'll keep you posted and let you know when the submission is approved.

Just tested on one PC and seems to be fine now. Thanks for the very quick fix

Thank you for confirming the fix! Glad it's working now :raised_hands:
