Album Art (Blurry) on Mobile Devices

Hi.

I have a really annoying issue that is occuring with any cover art I add to my MP3, FLAC and all other audio codecs.

The album art I design are 1200x1200 Pixels and, once exported from CorelDraw or Photoshop, they're all set to be a maximum file size of 1mb each (perfectly acceptable size).

My designs are crystal clear on PC, but, once I send my music files to my phone, the album art is blurry in ANY music player (Samsung music player or any other music player).

I don’t understand the issue, as all my music files are cleaerd of original tags and are then edited with all new input data, including my designs for the cover art.

Can someone please advise on what this potential issue is? I have like 200 album's now that are suffering from blurry artwork.

Maybe Samsung disagrees? Tried their support?

And what image format and what other music players have you tried (do you mean other devices or on same device, or a software called ANY?)

Two likely options, Samsung don’t like your file size (thumbnailing it) or your file format (partly loading it).

You don't mention what image format you have saved these to. Most players can handle either png or jpg (baseline) without issues. Progressive jog often has problems. And images over 4MB cannot fit, but your 1MB limit should not be a problem.

If your picture formats are within these factors, the blurry results will more likely be caused by the player. For Android devices like Samsung there are plenty of alternative players you can use that would be ideal besides the native player. Foobar Mobile is currently free. There are other paid ones as well.

JPEG's baseline exports. I only have my one phone, so I cannot see if it is just my phone causing issues.

I will try Foobar and see if the cover art is clear as it should be.

I doubt it is the device.

I use 600x600 as my standard, although I have started to use 1k for my newer files. I'm debating going back in to update the older ones. But on mobile devices (I have three different ones) there is virtually no difference regardless of the screen size.

After some tweaking. I found that Foobar2000 is the way to go in order to see the album art clear as day. Tried numerous different music players through the app store and all are struggling to show a clear image (it's seems to me like the players are struggling to load the cover art in full quality). PC and Foobar2000 on mobile are the only ways I've found so far that are reliable to see the cover art clear, which is fine for me now that I’ve found a good player.
