Duplicated Files

when attempting to renamed and save a large group of files, MP3Tag will throw up a list of files it says can't be renamed and saved because IF SAVED they would be duplicates. Is there a way i can get these so called duplicated files to autodelete OR placed into a separate folder called "duplicates" so that the larger group of files can be saved.

As it stands now, I have to sort the files by "title" and search individually through the list and delete the duplicated file and then save the files. Please help.

See e.g. here:

(There is no other solution than to manually check whether the files are really duplicates or not and if not, modify the tags correspondingly)

You could rename the files with a special character attached at the end so there will be no conflicts. Then use another renaming program to remove the special characters that gives you the option to skip conflicts. At this point you could just delete all the files that still have the special character.

... which is more or less the suggestion from the linked thread:

thank you. I got it all figured out with everyone's help.
