You're not the first one to report this and the easy and quick fix is to remove the duplicates at "Options > Tag Panel".

Duplicate standard fields in Tag Panel after update to v2.89

I've fixed an issue with the latest development build Mp3tag v2.90b, where the configuration file wasn't written if the Window session was closed while Mp3tag was open. This resulted in Mp3tag performing the Tag Panel update again and produced the duplicate fields.

Unfortunately, the issue seems to be still present. One exception that could explain the behavior would be a hard crash of your computer or an electricity blackdown, but I doubt this was the case.
