The fastest way to check this on your end is to open the extended tags window for a file you know has these MM ratings. Every tag you can expect to see and edit in mp3tag should be presented in that list. You can use the shortcut Alt-T to quickly open that window.

Thanks for that. %rating% seems to be an editable field. It also seems to match the Mediamonkey one. But updating it doesn't seem to go back to media monkey. Not by itself. In addition: Also set in Ctrl-O>Tags>Advanced Always display POPULARIMETER values for ID3V2 ratings
and check if you have a mapping in the option for POPULARIMETER and RATING.
