How to unblock "Change Directory" feature

After using "Change Directory" to the output folder of my ripper and select said folder, the mp3tag app started downloading the actual MP4 files (ie, Windows had a Popup warning of the download and the mp3tag had a slow crawl of the progress bar), rather than the normal faster speed crawl associated with reading them (to generate the list of files in the folder).

In trying to get back to the normal read, I clicked on the cancel button (in the progress bar popup) and a Windows Popup window came up asking if I wanted to "Block" this in the future (giving instructions on how to unblock). Being that I'd tried multiple times to get the mp3tag app to read the directory correctly, I went ahead and "Blocked" future attempts, hoping that the block would prevent downloading, but still read the files for the sake of listing the file for tagging.

Unfortunately, I didn't write down what I believe was something to do with "Unblocking Instructions" for Windows 10 Settings. As such, when I change directories, the normal mp3tag popup window opens, starts reading the directory, then disappears (I assume, due to the block) and only the first coupe files of many are shown in mp3tag's folder listing.

I haven't been able to recreate the scenario, so I could see the instructions to "unblock" and I haven't found any simliar FAQs or websites posts to fix.

  1. What are the instructions to "Unblock"?
  2. How do I get mp3tag to only read the mp4 files, rather than attempt to download them?

Could you please show us a screenshot from this "block popup"?

Could it be that you speak about the Microsoft Defender (protecting your Windows system)?
This is an external source showing how to unblock a blocked App or File in MS Defender:

Mp3tag is never "downloading" any music files. It only reads existing files from whatever directory you use (both: locally on your internal drives or from a NAS directory).

I keep attempting to recreate and finally got this ..

As I was able to recreate, it appears the Block is associated with OneDrive.

Now that you know the cause of the "blocked app", has this solved the problem for you?

Otherwise you could have a look here to see how to

Appears that Mp3tag's reading the directory also initiated my PC's downloading the mp4 videos into Google Drive. As such, the downloading appeared to slow down Mp3tag's speed ... making it seem that the Mp3tag and Download were part of the same process. Noted: Mp3tag started acting normal after the Google Drive process had completed.

Yes ... Issue Appears to be resolved.

TY!!
