"\\" is not being replaced

I have some files that have a double backslash ("\") within the artist tag. If I try to replace them by actions the actions are not reformed. In other tagging apps anything after \ is not even displayed.

Is this a bug?

I realize this is a simple request and I have tried several different approaches. The frustrating thing is this use to work flawlessly until I upgraded to the current version (2.61a), I was several revisions out of date.
