List songs from a folder with & without songs from subfolders

Hello

When opening a folder, MP3tag shows a list that includes songs on that folder & also all the songs inside subfolders. If I am not wrong, Windows version just shows the files on the main folder.

Exist a way to change & control this?

Sometimes is good just to see what it is on the selected folder, while in other situations you would preffer to also see the songs inside the subfolders. The best would be to be able to configure it according to each need.

No, it's not possible to ignore subfolders when loading files in Mp3tag for Mac at the moment.

Would you consider in some future to add this feature to let us decide when we want to include subfolders songs & when do not include?

Wouldn't it be an alternative to drag&drop the files in the root folder without selecting the subfolders from the Finder into MP3tag?

Well, if the folder you want to add songs contains 10.000 subfolders & 10.000 tracks…

This has triggered an immediate reaction from my somewhat OCD Albumartist\Album\Discnumber-Track Title library organization! (Assuming you don’t have 10,000+ Album artists, or even just one with 10,000+ Albums)

the main dj library has 3.356 subfolders & direct songs (is mixed & I can not know how many subfolders are) & I follow the rule that if I do not have more than 3 songs from the same artist I locate them in a big genre folder (45 genres in total).

I think would be faster to have that option but not sure, have not tested enough.

Does this refer to a genuine Mac version or still to the
outdated and unsupported version of Mp3tag for Windows on Mac via Wine?

I have some audio files in one folder, so I drag them into the window. I have some other audio files I also want in the same window so I can copy/paste their tags easily. That's not possible, because if I do that it clears out the window first.

Mp3tag for Mac v1.10 adds an option to include or exclude subfolders when loading files, available directly in the Open Folder panel.
