Could you give us an update on where you are with adding support for MKV tagging on the Mac? Is it within a few months or years down the road?

agreed!! i just paid $25 for this app thinking i could use it on mac to tag my mkvs but.. nope.. no support for that but i can do that just fine on windows for free?? i even donated on windows too. def would like mp4/mkv/m4v support for mac native client too. till then i guess i'll be using my win11 vm on macos and free windows version.

MP4 and M4V are already supported on macOS.
how about mkv? mkv is the main one i'm looking for. nonetheless, i like to support mp3tag and don't regret my mac purchase

I've just released Mp3tag for Mac v1.9 with support to view and edit metadata of Matroska audio (MKA), Matroska video (MKV), and WebM files. Support for chapters in Matroska is on my internal wish list.
This is great news! There doesn't seem to be any right click integration with MKV files. Not a big deal but if it could be added that would be great. Thanks for this new release!
