New to mp3tag and getting error I don't know how to fix

Hi All,

I’m new to mp3tag and fairly new to tagging in general.

I scanned my directory of 2000+ songs and 14 songs came up with this error:

ID3v2 tag parse error (frame contains non-text data) ; ID3v1 (ID3v1 !BAD ID3v2)

I don’t really know what that means or how to fix it. I’ve tried googling and searching this forum but haven’t found anything. I’m assuming it’s saying there is non-text characters in a tag somewhere. But when looking at one of those files in TagScanner everything looks fine to my untrained eyes.

Those songs also just show blank spaces for everything such as Title, Artist, Album, Album Art, etc. However those same songs show that information just fine on MusicBee. So I’m not really sure what’s going on?

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

EDIT: I seem to have figured it out. Those songs all had Name and Tag Codes “WXXX” in them. Deleting those tags with MusicBee got rid of the error.
