I just upgraded to 3.06, and it is at least 5 x slower when reading a directory...
3.05 did not have this issue, nothing else has changed on my system. Any advice?

As I am running 3.06a ... do you have the same?
I don't see any differences in loading files.
I just loaded 267 files in less than 2 seconds.

Thanks, I just tried again and it's back to normal. I must have had some other background activity running, although I thought I checked that...
It could also be that you had MP3tag installed in a different way and the library had to be be rebuilt. When new files are added, then they have to read "thoroughly" whereas for already known files the library speeds up the reading.
