I'm running Windows 10 on a desktop PC. When I run MP3Tag I get the opening window, but the box to enter the SONG TITLE is missing! There is a box to enter the album title but not the song title. This is an individual song and not part of an album. The song title has to be most important part of the MP3Tag and it's MISSING. I have downloaded the install *.exe and did a second installation but I'm experiencing the same results. There is no place to enter the song title!
Could you please show us a screenshot from your running Mp3tag and this one loaded song?
In addition to the running MP3tag, a screenshot of the Ctrl-O Options>Tag Panel would be nice.
What if you click on the empty space on the right side from "Album" and click on "Customize"?
Do you see a field called Title or Artist in the list (as @ohrenkino asked)?
Something like this, maybe without a checked box in front of Title or Artist?

Yes, you said so in the first post.
But in the meantime you have got at least 2 replies with further questions and information.
It would bring this thread forward if you could answer these and describe what you do or intend to do.
That did the trick. Although I'm puzzled why this would be an optional item. Perhaps this feature should be always there and not hidden. It can always be ignored if not used. What I was looking for was a simple method to add metadate to an MP3 song file. Nothing more.
As for my tardiness, I've been very busy and only check my email once per day.
These are on by default with a fresh install.
