Not all writing to details

I've been using MP3Tag for quite some time now, but I still run into some issues. When I enter (album) artist, album, year, genre, and track number, this information is written to the MP3 file's details except for the comment and publisher fields. However, I saw in a YouTube tutorial that it should be possible. What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance for your help.

Could you please show us a screenshot from the details in Alt + T (Extended Tags)?
There we should see if there is something "similar" to your comment and publisher.

And where exactly did you enter such comments and publishers? In the left Tag Panel?
Directly in the File List (spreadsheet-like columns)?

I fill in the comments and publishers on the left section, I enter the actual bitrate by comments, and in the publishers section, the record label.

Thanks. A screenshot as mentioned above would really be helpful.

And in addition:
Please right click on the left side Tag panel and click on "Customize".
Then double click the two entries for your comment and publisher.
Please show us screenshots from the two definitions too.

For example the comment should look like this:

The publisher like this:

Since you specifically mention mp3 files, it sounds like you may have a mix of APE and ID3 tag fields in play that may be "hiding" the contents you are looking for. As requested above by @LyricsLover a screenshot of the Extended Tags window will quickly confirm this.

For the second screenshot:
I don't think that UITGEVER will work.
Please try it with PUBLISHER (the english not translated fieldname).

Please show us one more screenshot from Alt + T

I changed it to publisher and that works now, but comments still not

I can't help you without a screenshot as mentioned before.

If you have some super "top secret" content that we could see:
Just paste your screenshot in MS Paint first, then erase these secret parts or paint a rectangle with white color over it. Then show us this manually modified Extended Tags window please.

it's a test file nothing secret

Thanks.
We have two possible reasons:

a) The APEv2 - as you can see in the title (ID3v1 ID3v2.3 APEv2)
or
b) Your language settings in Opties -> Tags -> Geavanceerd

Please try to change b) first to your own language.

should i change it to English?

In your first question you wrote:

Thanks to your screenshot we see that your COMMENT and PUBLISHER are both written into your files.

Now the question is:
Why can you not see this content of COMMENT?
And WHERE can you not see it? In the Windows File Explorer for example?

One of the known problems is the language for the COMMENT set in the Options.
Please set the language that you use in your Windows, probably dut or nld?

If you save your COMMENT content after this language change, do you see the COMMENT?

Details from the documentation:

I changed it to nld and now it works

Thanks for your feedback!

I assume, you speak about the Windows File Explorer where it now works, right?

Yes, i see it in the explorer
