My Mp3 player only shows the filename as the song that is currently playing. Why doesn't it show me the artist and song title? Is the tag defective?

This is probably a question that only the player's support can answer in depth.
You could check: what kind of files are these? MP3, MP4, FLAC, WAV?
If they are MP3 files: which tag versions do they have? V1? V2.x? APE?
Are the files OK?
