Hi Everyone
Well appreciated for any help with this.
I have tried searching and entering many different combos,
to try and pull the folder name that the files reside in and
populate the album fields with them. Some kind of tag wizardry must be possible.
I need to do a batch on 555 folders with 5,718 music samples.
From the filename I can create a title, but the album name would be the folder.
the plan is to organize samples for my Bitwig DAW.
Thanks greatly for any help and ideas,
Jeff
Please show us some real examples from your collection.

Then we can help you to use Convert -> Filename-Tag

Thank you so much for your thought and quick response. Exactly what worked!
I only had folders with .wav filenames inside. Nothing populated in the tag fields.
so
- I batch converted all the filenames with filename==>tags using %title%
- the backslash \ was key. I had
...\
- Batch folder drag into mp3tag
- so Filename==>tag then
%album%\%title% did the trick.
AS WELL for nested sub folders I used %album%%album%%title%
I realized to that I could convert steps 1,2 & 4 together.
God Bless and thanks again LyricsLover
