Not sure whats going on because the program was working great.
But today
Taking a folder of songs
number the songs using 01 etc
Then after numbering the songs
under CONVERT TAG TO FILE NAME
its freezes solid the program
I can still use my PC but to close MP3TAG task manger is needed
Program version 3.31a
Reinstalled program no difference
Windows 11 26100.6899

Does this happen to new files only or old ones as well?
If files cannot be modified/renamed, then it is a good idea to check which other programs may have access to these files.
I have only used old files that i have probably changed tags before on.
So far its only when i convert TAG to Filename
Its weird because if you have 10 or more files sometimes you need that 01,02, etc to play in the correct order. I have done this many many times before.

Only anti virus i use is Windows.
And now crap on the reinstall I lost the file extension in explorer.
No this is a complete program freeze just MP3TAG
Then Task manger to close it
You still have to look locally, what has changed in the meantime.
If nothing has changed, then everything should work as before.
AFAIK the defender is the Windows virus protection. So a check and perhaps the exception would still be worth a try.
Yes did that its the only program in there no difference
ok well sorry for the posts but its fixed now, I guess i had 32 bit and 64 bit installed after removing both and reinstalling 64 bit its fix.
For the Windows 11 explorer issue.
