Staging Sparse Package failed is back

Hi,
So Long story short, I had to reinstall windows, and when I installed mp3tag, the infamous

"Provisioning Sparse Package failed
D:\Program Files\Mp3tag
Mp3tagShell.msix
Windows can't provision the package
35795FlorianHeidenreich.Mp3tag.ShellExtension_3.26.2.0_x64
hyhc94k68ebpm because it is not installed on a system
volume."

is back...and therefore no mp3tag in the context menu.
Anyclues ?

Did you search the forum for threads with the tag "installation" - those should help you.
Perhpas you start with this thread:

It's a different error message this time. What type of volume is drive D: on your system?

Hi Florian,
C: is the system one. D: is for all the software I am installing.

after your message I did uninstalled it from D: and installed it on C:
And the message I have is this one.

OK, thanks for checking. This is the error you've already had before, described in the other topic linked from above.

Unfortunately, I still don't know what's causing the issue and had no success so far in replicating it on my test systems.

If the entry in the Explorer context menu is missing for you, you can try manual registration as outlined in the FAQs:

Thanks...will do. ( update : Done...and I have the context menu now. And I installed shell for easier access )
But is it recommended to install it where the system drive is ?

Just an idea ....is it possible that it's not working because of the odd windows 11 context menu ?
