I have 39 MP4s each with a duration of ~52 minutes. The total length of time displayed shows "1 day, 10:04:03" when it should read ~33:24:03. Why is the total time incorrect?
Where exactly do you see this incorrect value?
Could you please show us a screenshot?
for me 1 day = 24h plus 10:04:03 would be 34:04:03 (but not
Can we please stay on topic and address the issue at hand and not waste time and effort with irrelevant responses. Firstly, I did state approximately (~). It displays 39 episodes as 10:04:03. Selecting only E01-E27 = 23:09:01. If I select E28 in addition to E01-E27, it displays as 00:31:01 and any additional selection increments accordingly and inaccurately. Selecting E28-E39 = 10:25:02 (independent of E01-E27). Thus, the total of the selections is 33:24:03.
Is this a problem that always occurs after 27 files?
What is special about E28?
Is the sum correct if you leave out E28?
The sum of all tracks is 2044m 3s, which is 1d 10h 4m 3s as displayed in Mp3tag.
Can you please double check?
You are not including the first part of the time display that says "1 day". This is the first 24 hours. When you add this to the other 10 hours, 4 minutes, and 3 seconds that adds up to the total time I see in your total list. Just over 34 hours.
Okay, MotleyG pinpointed my calculation error. Thank you. I always ignored the '1 day' indicator as insignificant as I assumed the total time would be displayed numerically and not half-text/half-numeral. Thanks to all for your support.
Actually, I also mentioned this day:
which you ruled out as not
My apologies. As a coder myself, to me it would be more logical to have the length of time all numerical rather than half-text/half-numeral, maintaining one format rather than two but now that I am aware of the 1 day coding I can work with it.
