Undo image also undo previous action

If you paste (or drag'n drop) an image and then undo, not only is the image undone, but also the previous action on the tags, whatever it may have been (even if the action was on another file).

Example:

  • I add an artist's name to the 'artist' tag
  • I drag'n drop an image into the 'cover' zone

If I cancel with Command-Z, the image is deleted and so is the artist tag.

I'm taking the liberty of bringing up the subject by giving details of my configuration that I had forgotten to give initially!
I probably named my topic wrongly (undo image paste...) and perhaps didn't explain the issue properly, but since you can't change anything after publishing I'll have to live with it :sweat_smile:

Anyone else seeing this problem after pasting a cover image? Thanks!

Macbook M1 running Sonoma 14.7
Mp3tag 1.8.25

Thank you for reporting this issue and for providing the additional details.

The cover window doesn't support undo at the moment, so the change is only reverted on undo if the pasted cover is actually saved to the file.

I've made a note on my internal wish list and will keep you posted.

I've just released Mp3tag for Mac v1.9 where undoing adding, pasting, or removing a cover doesn't undo the previous action.
