Unwanted date in date tag

Which program asks you to enter the date with 2 forward slashes?

If you see a field in the tag panel with 2 backward slashes like 2023\\2023 then this means that you have a multi-value field which you can check with the extended tags dialogue Alt+T.
MP3tag usually does not ask or force you to create multi-value fields.

I have some files which have a date such as this in the year field "2012 \ \ 2012-02-18" as shown in the tag panel on the LH side. The column view on the RH side will only show "2012" for that value. It does not show both values. I would like to trim off the "2012 \ \ ", but I haven’t found an easy way to ID which files have it. The column view is only showing the year. Thoughts? Thanks!
