Is there a way in the new script to add a line to separate Notes in the Credit field.
Currently I manually make the corrections, but each time I update the script, obviously, it overrides my changes.
Here's what's happening.
Ex:
Joe Farrell: (Tenor Saxophone, Flute)
John Faddis: (Trumpet)notes:

Special Thanks To Chris Hills For His Overall Support And Assistance
Notes field is running into the credit fields.
In the old system you could add
saynewline
saynewline
say "Notes:"
saynewline
saynewline
Is it possible for me to permanent add that t the discog script?
yes, the settings for this are in the CREDITS; NOTES; IDENTIFIERS; COMPANIES section:
For Credtis, choose:
Combine Credit fields with other fields:Track Credits Primary Names >no
Track Credits Name Variations >no
Album Credits Primary Names >yes
Album Credits Name Variations >yes
For all other things there, choose:
- with headline >yesThank you Pone for this awesome script!
v4 will only be better I can imagine.
Hope you never stop further developing and support
Hello again,
I just want to write the Discnumber for multible cd releases, but not the Totaldiscs tag, like it is possible for Track and Totaltrack. But if I leave the space after the > empty it writes me the tracknumbers into the Title field..
My TRACK & DISCNUMBER Options look like that now:
Tracknumber: >TRACK
Totaltracks: >
- leading zeros for tacknumbers >yes
- disable leading zeros if less than 10 totaltracks >yes
only for multi-disc CDs:
- reset counter for every disc >yes
- reset & combine Tracknumber with Discnumber >no
- combine Disc- & Tracnumber with this character >
Trackposition (as written on discogs page): >
- write Trackposition only for Vinyl & Cassettes >no
Discnumber: >DISCNUMBER
Totaldiscs: >
- write discnumber for single-disc releases >no
- write totaldiscs for single-disc releases >no
- write discnumber for vinyl & cassette releases >no
- count file releases as 1 or 0 totaldiscs >1
Have I missed something?
And I don't understand what that line is doing:
Many thanks in advance
I get the same results as you. Looks like a bug in the script whith the setting you have choosen. I will have a look and fix it as soon as possible.
If you set this to "yes", the tracknumbers start with 1 for at every disc. If you set it to "no", the tracknumbers are counted from the first to the last track, no matter on what disc they are.
Some changes on discogs?
Cant save barcode...
I don't know. Did it work with 4.0 for you before?
I think the script has a problem with this release:
http://www.discogs.com/release/3154818
Maybe because here is two barcode fields.
Many thanks for creating this script - I've just starting using it and it's great.
Could someone tell me how I would get CATALOG# to automatically populate the 'Album' tag and PUBLISHER to automatically populate the 'Comment' tag?
I'm new to this and I don't really understand how the script settings work so any help would be appreciated.
@Pedrozo:
Yes, there is a problem with this release. I haven't found out yet what the problem exaxtly is.
I don't think discogs has changed anything.
And I don't think it's because there are two barcodes. Many releases have more than one barcodes and I made many tests about that for the script.
I think it's some techincal detail. At the API page for this release, the identifiers are listed at last value, which is normally not the case. I think that causes the problem:
http://api.discogs.com/releases/3154818
You don't have to care about those technical details. I will fix that as soon as possible. Thanks for reporting. Are there any other releases where you noticed this bug of the script?
@Monstermunch:
Do you want the catalog# alone in the ALBUM tag field or do you want it in combination with the actual album title? Do you want the catalog# only in the ALBUM field or should it be there and in the CATALOG # field?
Same for the label, do you want it only in the COMMENT field or do you want it in the COMMENT field and the PUBLISHER field?
Other releases don't have this bug of the script.
I fixed it. Update will come tonight.
If I Split field by separator with two same values in PUBLISHER the result is one field, but when I do the same for CATALOG I getting two fields with same cat number. Is it normal?
I have a problem. It might be the script or the program I don't know, but every time I use discogs I'm coming up empty. there is no tag information. mind helping me with that
@ Pedrozo:
I'm not sure what you mean. How do you split fields? With my script or with an Mp3tag action afterwards.
How are the same values seperated inside of the PUBLISHER field.
The script settings for the seperatorts of Publisher and Catolog # (Label and Label #) should be always the same. I did not built in an option to give them different seperators.
Or is your problem about multivalue tag fields. Read here how to deal with them:
[WS] Discogs (pone mod)
@ El Pirato:
If all fields are empty, you most probably have made a mistake at the customization of the setting file (step 6 of my installtation guide in the starting post).
I recommend to download a new setting file and use that first without customization. If that works, you can try again to change the settings.
Ask if you are not sure how to edit the settnings file. Generally:
you said you have a new version. where is it?
it's now in the starting post
Update: version 4.unfinished 4
FIXED:
Cue Sheet Export should work now for all releases which have track lengths at discogs.
FIXED:
Certain technical details in the API listing prevented the script to get the last listed value. This is fixed now. Thanks Pedrozo for reporting this bug.
Sorry, no full help documention in the setting file yet. I have to to an update action for the setting file to get that into your files, and that's a bit complicated with the new mulitline structure of the setting file.
Besides that, discogs pone mod v4 is fully working now.
it comes up empty when i'm in the "Adjust Tag Information" field
Did you use a new setting file?
Have you changed anything in the settings?
