Year in tag panel

The year shows up as YEAR\\YEAR in the tag panel. Is it possible to have two different years? For example, suppose you have a greatest hits album. You want to show the release date of the album in the first year and the actual release date of the song in the second year.

I have discovered that Plex has issues with the year not matching that in Music Brainz. This is causing me heartburn because I like to use the song year in such cases.

Another Audacity related question: Double "YEAR" Tag

I know, this is slightly off topic, because it's Audacity related, but since we have so many smart people here, I would like to ask it anyway: I'm usin Audacity to digitize vinyl and radio sources. I mark the tracks, add the metadata [artist name], [album title] [year] and [genre] and then I use "export multiple" to write the mp3 files. Everything works like a charm. I use Audacity as well and have noticed this. I've done some research on it, but I haven't found anything useful.

Using mp3tagv2.73 with Windows 7 sp1 Home premium. When I edit a ID3.2 tag in Audacity and then view the tag with Mp3Tag, some of the fields (perhaps only the numeric ones like "Year", e.g.; 2015 show up as 2015\\2015. When I reopen the file in Audacity and other editors it displays correctly.
