Whenever I edit a song and save it I get a cannot write file error. it happens with every song I do. it works beforehand but then stops working. I have the folder on my C drive if that helps.
Now please use the forum search function and look for "write file" and see the various causes for that phenomenon.

Im working with mp3 files and some songs get this error message when saving. I tried re downloading the songs and changing the information again but it didn’t work. Mp3Tag version is v3.31a and windows version is windows 10 home version 22H2
What is different with these files in comparison to others where the modifications can be written?
The checking programs in the already supplied links do help, believe me.
If the files are OK, then it could be that another program accesses the files at the same time and blocks them.
You still have to investigate locally. Or try to supply a file if the problem occurs always with the same file.
