Hi!

there is a download for an MP3. (Click the three dots then select "Herunterladen").
Mp3Tag does not recognize the tags that are in the file (as can be seen with a hex editor). Is the Mp3 broken or is Mp3Tag not interpreting the file correctly?

MP3tag shows this file as damaged (red circle with an X inside).

It’s required and often helps to reduce support cycles to check files for errors before filing a bug report.
Symptoms of erroneous files are often
missing or wrong bitrate or length
audible blips or skips
tags seem to be sticky and cannot be removed
There are some really good tools to check the files for errors, namely

I tried MP3diags and that restores the audio data. The tag data is lost, though.

You can repair it and keep the tag-information with foobar:
Rigtht mouse click on the loaded file
Utililies->Optimize file layout
This is one of the rare cases where Windows File Explorer shows more information then Mp3tag:
