TL;DR - I tried editing my youtube to mp3 downloaded files through mp3tag but this corrupted the files. If I removed the tag, the files would be okay again.
Okay so I'm no tech nerd so I apologise if anything I say makes no sense or uses the wrong terms.
I downloaded a few songs from YouTube to Mp3 Converter. I edited all the songs with the tags and album covers I wanted. However doing this prevented my computer (windows groove music - the default music app for windows I think) from playing the files. I tried moving them on my phone anyway but these files were not supported on my phone too and wouldn't play.
I eventually re-edited my files on my phone through the app AutomaTag, which had me with no problems. When I was about to turn off my PC I tried opening Mp3Tag again to figure out what the problems were. I renamed any file to 1, and this alone would corrupt the file. However if I right clicked the edited file and removed the tag, this would un-corrupt(?) the file again.
The message I got from trying to open an edited file was:
"This file isn’t playable. That might be because the file type is unsupported, the file extension is incorrect, or the file is corrupt.

Any help would be much appreciated
