[WS] RateYourMusic

The album you gave me works for me. Yesterday I had a lot of connection problems, but today it's fine and all the albums I try work (I'm on Win7)... so I'm also tempted to think it's on your side.
(Not so) Silly question: do you have the same mp3tag version on both computers? I remember that one time, from one version to another the script had stopped working properly.

Same version, yes. And same language. I can't figure out why it doesn't work (and it's not only the tracks, also the artist name, while the remaining fields are OK...)

Is there any way this can be used to automatically write the tags to a series of albums? I would want to use this for my entire library, which is 100.000~ songs, so of course doing it manually would take a year. I see you have to manually verify and select if the album matches the one you want to tag, but I'm honestly only interested on the genres, so I that wouldn't affect me too much in case it chooses the wrong album.

The only way I know to make something like is to use the "Action" feature, but I don't think it supports this script.

No longer working for me. Getting "no entries are matching your search criteria" on every album.

Came here to post this.

My IP got banned from RYM yesterday right after I tried to do a search from mp3tag, so... I don't think I'll be using (or updating) that script anytime soon, I don't want to lose my access to RYM. :frowning:

Got IP banned as well!
So strange, it used to work just fine. Very annoying, I paid for premium once and use RYM all the time!

The download url seems to be dead. Can anyone upload the last version? @dano @nathbot :pray:t3:

Hi,
here is the last script I had done (version 4):
https://www41.zippyshare.com/v/oIrX7teS/file.html

But between the banning some of us got and the site updates they have done since then, I doubt it still works.
Good luck!

I confirm that the script doesn't work anymore. I probably will look into it later. Thank you!

I am just trying to figure out how WS framework works, but I am stuck in the starting :frowning:

I am getting a 403: Forbidden response, and no log is generated. Somebody can help me?
(sorry for the double post)

Try adding [UserAgent]=1 to the script. It seems there is currently a bug that Mp3tag doesn't send a user agent without this setting.

Upload the latest version, please

Re-uploaded my version 4:

Thank you so much, happy New year!

Has anyone a functioning version of this script or any other script?

Since the zippyshare link has expired, here is a (probably) more permanent link to my version 4: Dropbox - RateYourMusic_04.zip

Good luck to anyone trying to make it work again!

Ah, it's a shame it's broken now. RateYourMusic is really good for genre tags since they have genre tags per album as opposed to per artist like most websites.

Hi,
if people are still interested I'll try to give it another go this week... no guarantees though
(and I'll probably test as slowly as possible to avoid triggering some IP ban!)

Yeah that's fair enough. No rush of course but I would really love to see it working again. RYM is such a great resource!
